MIFS Minimally Invasive Foot Surgery
Surgical technique features:
- Minimally invasive percutaneous approach
- Osteotomies are performed with mini incisions of about 3 mm by means of specific burrs at low speed and high torque, thus allowing minimal soft tissue dissection.
- Stable fixation with double threaded screw un’efficace stabilizzazione dell’osteotomia.
- Fixation by means of the screw allows an early mobilization of patient and, together with the minimally invasive use of drills, greatly reduces pain and the risk of post-operative relapses
MIFS screws
- Double threaded with specific design which is a compromise between Herbert type and totally threaded screw: it gives good compression and excellent osteotomy stabilization.
- Hidden head below the cortex, in order not to cause tissue irritation.
- Head diam. 4 mm, tip diam. And body 3 mm.
- Lengths from 10 mm to 34 mm (increases of 2mm).
- Sterile single packaging.
